Minimalist and elegant line characteristise the Nendo Collection, whose poetic language is identified with the stylistic code of Oki Sato, the very soul of the Nendo studio. For this collection, Oki Sato - Japanese, born in Canada in 1977, named as EDIDA 2012 designer of the year - found inspiration in the traditional culture of his own country of origin: "I imagined the bathroom as a very intimate and welcoming environment in which you can enjoy a moment of 'reflection'. A silent but comfortable space that allows you to communicate with yourself; something that happened in traditional tea rooms in Japan". Bathtub, wash basins, dressers, each individual piece of the collection seems to be 'kept' inside a box. Even the furniture accessories, including containers, clocks, shelves and mirrors, are characterised by a double use/ the same object, in fact, can be used individually or combined with a similar one to obtain a new original piece. Larch wood, with its warm golden colour, contributes to the sober volumetric rationalism of the collection.
