Take an ordinary wooden bench with strict lines, nicely sized in measurements and proportions, cover it with upholstery in the correct consistency so that it covers the frame, leaving only the feet and the front uprights open to view: this is Ruche. In reality, the sofa designed by Inga Sempe is much more than a banal object. Its originality is found in the elegant design of the upholstery, made with a computerised machine, and in its firm ability to combine innovation and technology, using a very personal design language.
