Exploring the possibilities for Flos Soft Architecture, a system that incorporates light within the actual structure of the rooms, Ron Gilad has identified a meeting point between artistic research and industrial experimentation. Wall Piercing is born, a light installed flush onto the plasterboard wall: a hoop surrounded by Leds (Rgbs too), forms a halo around itself, spreading its shadow as though it were wrapped in a light mist of tulle. By combining a number of units, the whole wall becomes a low resolution screen, which can change colour and create modifiable light scenes.
