The studio Foster + Partners, led by Lord Norman Foster of Thames Bank, winner of the 1999 Pritzker Architecture Award, skilfully applies technology and innovation, while respecting the human dimension, because architecture and design are always bron from the needs of man. The Arc table is, in this sense, emblematic: the innovative shape of the base, similar to technostructures used in modern buildings, was created thanks to use of "lightweight" cement. It has a mass-coloured base enhanced with a special organic fibre, which guarantees resistant structures at a specifically low weight.
