Depicting imaginary worlds in which to get lost is a characteristic of illustrator duo Icinori (Raphael Urwiller and Mayumi Otero). ‘Altronde’, a collection of wall coverings inspired by tapestries that invites us to think outside of the box, is no exception. They have a dual function, both decorative and poetic, expressed on a fabric capable of telling a story. The design is created on a pure linen fabric and in keeping with an ancient artisan painting technique dating back to the Chinese Song dynasty.
