The dynamic effect which runs over the surface is striking: the colours are darker in some places, in others the simple solid colour background prevails; in the same way, the diamondshaped tiles change size from one point to the next on the rug. Losanges is an original interpretation of the traditional rugs created by the Bouroullec brothers. Kilim is a hand-woven Afghan-wool rug created by caftsmen in northen Pakistan. The geometric, losenge-shaped design conditions the final form of the creation: an irregular polygon, unique every time.
