In the history of Japan, the Asuka period (6th to 8th century) was a time of important artistic, social and political changes, occuring in parallel with the advent of Buddhism. Asuka, the wallpaper by Osborne & Little, uses Japanese inspired patterns, interpreted in a fascinating combination of colours. Stylised opaque peonies nestle between leaves with metallic glints, against a brilliant background of different colours (six variants), with touches of red and gold lacquer.
