EDIDA AROUND THE WORLD
In addition to the international EDIDA awards celebrated in April in Milan every year, some of the ELLE DECO editions also organize local EDIDA events in their respective countries. Everything you ever wanted to know about the EDIDA awards around the world explained here.
Launched in 2003, the ELLE DECO International Design Awards or EDIDA is a unique international event where the 25 editors-in-chief of the ELLE DECORATION international network gather to award global excellence in design in 13 categories.
The winners are voted in two main steps:

Round 1 - each edition of ELLE DECORATION independently puts forward its suggestions across 13 categories, from fabrics and flooring to furniture, kitchens and bathrooms. The nominees can be featured in the magazines or presented at local EDIDA events - selection process and event format vary from country to country.

Round 2 - from this massive global shortlist, each editor-in-chief votes to elect the final winners of EDIDA. They are announced at a ceremony held in April during Milan's Salone del Mobile furniture fair.
