Design and art have always been at the forefront of social change. The EDIDA Sustainable Achievement award recognizes and honor creators who use their voice to protect the planet and promote eco-conscious mindsets. This year, the 25 ELLE Decoration Editors-in-Chief reviewed projects from across the industry and around the world, selecting ‘100R’ by HYDRO as the 2025 winner. For the first time, with Perrier-Jouët as our official partner.
The ‘100R’ project by Norwegian company Hydro marks a breakthrough in sustainable material innovation. As the first industrial scale extruded aluminum made entirely from post-consumer waste with low carbon emissions, it represents a new step in circular design. Together with seven international designers, including Inga Sempé, Max Lamb, and Philippe Malouin, Hydro has created a collection of furniture and accessories that explore the creative potential of this recycled material. The project highlights Hydro’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and research in renewable energy.
