Biography
Teruhiro Yanagihara, a Japanese designer, founded his studio in 2002, which is now based in Kyoto. Yanagihara has worked across various fields, including product design, interior design, creative direction, and branding, for renowned clients such as the Swedish brand Offecct, the Italian brand Pallucco, and the Italian brand Sergio Rossi. In 2011, he launched TERUHIRO YANAGIHARA/bespoke, a label for exclusive, bespoke projects created with Japan’s finest artisans, targeting international collectors and galleries. His work blends traditional Japanese craftsmanship with influences from Scandinavian design, aiming to elevate everyday human experiences. Yanagihara is also the creative director of KARIMOKU NEW STANDARD and a founding member of the Designeast symposium.
