Biography
In 2009, Bethan Laura Wood obtained an MA degree in Design Products at the Royal College of Art, under the tuition of Jurgen Bey and Martino Gamper. Since graduating, Bethan has built a multidisciplinary practice characterized by material investigation, artisan collaboration, and a passion for color and detail. The British designer enjoys exploring the relationships between objects and humans in their daily life, and questions how they can become cultural conduits. Her interest lies in critical approaches to achieving sustainability in a mass consumption, production-driven context. Wood has worked and collaborated alongside international partners including Abet Laminati, Moroso, Tory Burch, Daelim Museum and Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo.
