Biography
After graduating from the Musashino Art University, Fumie Shibata worked at a large electrical goods manufacturer, and then went on to found her Design Studio S. She has worked on many projects with local and international brands, on products such as electronic goods, daily goods, medical equipment, and hotel creative direction. She has received the iF Gold Award, the Design for Asia Top, Culture, Gold Awards, among some others.
Apart from designing she has worked as a professor at the Musashino Art University, as a Judging Committee Chair of the 2018-2019 Good Design Awards, and was the author of the book 'Forms within Forms.
