Tekla Evelina Severin – also known as Teklan- was born in Gävle, Sweden, but today is based and working in Stockholm.
After graduating at the Konstfack University of Arts and Crafts for interior Design and Architecture, in 2010, she worked at different architecture and design studios in Stockholm. She started her own multidisciplinary studio based around the dynamics of colour in 2015.
Her work spans between interior design, furnishings, apparel, accessories, as well as set design and art direction, and photography. Her style is graphic, architectural, and stylistic - yet playful, and always colour synced. She is often referred to as “a warm minimalist”.
Teklan’s first solo exhibition was in Guatemala City and today she has exhibited in Buenos Aires, Berlin, Madrid, Stockholm, Reykjavik and New York.
Her client list includes NCS Colour Institute, Apple, Adobe Photoshop, Camille Walala, Lego, Tylko, Stilleben Architects, HM Home, IKEA, Hästens beds, Nufferton Pyjamas, Air France, Levi’s, Matter Matters, amongst others.
