Biography

Eleni Petaloti and Leonidas Trampoukis, based in New York and Athens, are the duo behind Objects of Common Interest working within the realm of art and design and architecture, specializing in projects from objects and installations to interactive immersive environments and interior spaces.

The studio’s creations focus on materiality, concept, and tangible spatial experiences, reflecting the synthesis of Greek and New York influences. Their work has been exhibited at art and design institutions – including solo shows at the Noguchi Museum, Design Museum Brussels, and Milan Design Week, where, last year, they unveiled "Poikilosa" showcased at Nilufar Depot and a collaborative public fountain installation at Alcova Milan with CC Tapis. The studio participates in collaborations, such as their partnership with Kvadrat to create the "Doric Column" installation, and their involvement in public art through "Lights On," a project commissioned for the Cultural Capital of Italy 2023.

Objects of Common Interest continues to be listed among the AD100 top designers and architects and has been awarded with multiple awards such as “Designer of the Year” for the Wallpaper Design awards and “Design Studio of the Year” prize from the Dezeen Awards Public Vote 2022.
