Biography
Samuel Ross is a British artist and designer working across fashion, industrial design, and contemporary art. In 2014, he independently founded A-COLD-WALL*, a luxury sportswear brand that examines material innovation and social architecture through fashion. He expanded the brand internationally, establishing retail spaces and collaborations with major brands like Nike. Ross’s work also includes industrial design projects for LVMH, Apple, and Hublot, with exhibitions at White Cube and Friedman Benda. His works are part of the permanent collections at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Victoria & Albert Museum. He has received three British Fashion Awards, two GQ Awards, and was a recipient of the Hublot LVMH Design Prize. In 2019, he launched SR_A, an atelier radically fusing fashion, design, and art. In 2020, he established The Black British Artist Grants Programme, which has provided funding and institutional support to 50 emerging artists. He serves as an advisory council member for The King’s Foundation, the Royal College of Art, Sotheby’s, the V&A Museum, the Design Museum, and the British Fashion Council. Ross has also been featured in Forbes 30 Under 30.
