Biography

A well known interior designer, Buttazzoni came to fame with his designs for prestigious homes and boutiques for John Galliano and Manolo Blahnik as well as for prestigious fashion brands and art galleries such as Thaddaeus Ropac and Kréo. Laurent Buttazzoni and Frédéric Lavaud both studied interior architecture at ESAG Penninghen Paris, where they met, before working for seven and eight years respectively at Agence Andrée Putman. Buttazzoni Agence was founded in 1995 and ten years later it became Buttazzoni & Associés. Their work is underpinned by three imperatives of volume, material and light and their aim is to bring French rigor and a contemporary elegance to each project, while at the same time instilling ease and sensuality to an interior.
