Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby launched their design studio in East London in 1996, after meeting at the Royal College of Art. Over the past two decades, they have become renowned for pushing the boundaries of design both domestically and internationally, while also fostering new design talent through lectures, workshops, and studio practice. Their work focuses on experimentation, innovation, and a nuanced approach to materials and color, which has led to solutions that marry industrial processes and new technologies with artistic sensibilities. Their notable projects include the Double Space installation for the V&A Museum and the wind-powered Forecast at Somerset House.

Their creative output spans architecture, interiors, sculpture, product, and exhibition design, including the Loop Table, Soft Work for Vitra, and the 2012 Olympic Torch.
