The ELLE Deco International Design Awards (EDIDA) ceremony took place on the 11th April, in Milan, Italy, for the second year, in partnership with MGallery Hotel Collection. The EDIDA Awards gathers the editors-in-chief of ELLE Decoration editions worldwide who reward the winners of the year in the presence of major actors of the international design community, The awards ceremony traditionally takes place on Thursday during the Salone del Mobile in Milan, the world’s leading furniture fair. Generally the event is held in a different location of the city every year.
More than 400 special guests attended the event which took place at the Teatro Franco Parenti, designed by Michele de Lucchi. This year, the "Designer of the Year" was awarded to Michael Anastasiades, 'Young Design Talent of the Year ' went to Sabine Marcelis, and India Mahdavi received the first 'Interior Designer of the Year' trophy.
