In 2005 the ceremony took place in the Castello Sforzesco. Originally a Visconti fortress, this iconic red-brick castle was later home to the mighty Sforza dynasty, who ruled Renaissance Milan. Designed by the talented Da Vinci, the castle is today a museum. During the ceremony, the newly created “Young Designer Talent” category was awarded to Studio Job.
The Award ceremony traditionally takes place on Thursday during the Salone del Mobile in Milan, the world’s leading furniture fair. Generally the event is held in a different location of the city every year. It gathers the editors-in-chief of ELLE DECORATION editions worldwide who reward the winners of the year in the presence of major actors of the international design community.
