The ELLE Deco International Design Awards (EDIDA) ceremony took place on the 19th April, in Milan, Italy, this year in partnership with the collection of storied boutique hotels, MGallery by Sofitel. The EDIDA Awards gathers the editors-in-chief of ELLE Decoration editions worldwide who reward the winners of the year in the presence of major actors of the international design community, The awards ceremony traditionally takes place on Thursday during the Salone del Mobile in Milan, the world’s leading furniture fair. Generally the event is held in a different location of the city every year.
More than 400 special guests attended the event which took place at the Triennale Teatro dell’Arte, designed by Gualtiero Galmanini. This year, the "Designer of the Year" award went to Formafantasma – Simone Farresin & Andrea Antonio Trimarchi - and Studio Swine – Azusa Murakami & Alexander Groves - received the "Young Design Talent" trophy.
